So, you want to know a bit more about chessum|design. Well, first let me introduce myself. My name is Todd Chessum. I’m a creative based in Glendora, CA. With 10+ years experience I am a versatile, highly motivated, entrepreneurial individual who loves to take things from good to great, think outside the box, and holds a somewhat obsessive value for excellence.
As a Mechanical Engineer turned Graphic Designer, I’ve realized the two fields are not all that different—aside from the tools used. Each requires an individual who can conceptualize and creatively approached a problem, and deliver the best possible solution. You could say I’m both a right and left brain type person, powerfully combining the creative with the strategic.
My creativity and talent has been sought after and employed by multiple organizations and individuals. Designing strategically targeted print, packaging, promotional, web and identity materials for a vast array of clients—ranging from non-profits to the high tech industry. As a designer I’ve worked both independently and as part of a team, learning from and investing in others ranging from co-collaborators to interns from Florida State University’s Graphic Design department. Proficient on a Mac and experienced in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Final Cut Studio, and other industry standard software, I am able to rapidly employ these tools into a highly productive creative workflow.
